The Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization created for the purpose of supporting education and students in Sumner County and Mulvane, KS. 100% of its funding is provided by Kansas Star Casino, which has committed $1.5 million annually to support the objectives of the Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund.

Program Summary and Eligibility:

Class of 2020 Scholarships

Congratulations to the 189 graduating seniors who were awarded the Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund $1,000 scholarship this year! The application process for the Class of 2020 is now closed. The deadline for scholarship recipients to submit their acceptance letter and college class schedule is September 2, 2020. These documents may either be mailed to Sonya Jackson at PO Box 128, Mulvane, KS 67110 or emailed. K-12 Students

All students in grades K-12, enrolled in Sumner County and Mulvane school districts, will receive a $100 educational reward card to be used for school enrollment fees and/or at area merchants to purchase back-to-school supplies, school clothes and shoes. $100 educational reward cards are distributed in each school district during enrollment. in July/August each year by your respective school. **Newly enrolled students will need to complete the first two weeks of classes before receiving the reward card**

Teachers

The $500 grant application process for the 2020-21 school year has concluded. If you are a new hire in the Mulvane or a Sumner County school district, please contact us prior to September 21, 2020. The board of directors reserves the right to consider applications that do not meet the eligibility requirements on a case-by-case basis. $500 reward cards will be distributed in July/August so that teachers may purchase items needed for direct student educational benefit in advance of the 2020-21 school year.

More About Scholarships

Kansas All Star Scholars Fund receives 100% of its funding from the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kansas. The Fund seeks to support local students and the local economy. We believe this program will attract new families to Sumner County and promote education, while at the same time supporting local merchants and spur economic development, benefitting all of Sumner County.

An autonomous, non-profit Board of Directors oversees the administration of the program. This blue-ribbon panel is comprised of local business leaders, education leaders and recognized leaders from the state's higher education community.
